In Science, we have been learning about which drinks are the healthiest for us to drink. We were set a challenge to see if we could match the container of sugar to the correct drink! We all realised that water was the healthiest with 0 grams of sugar, but we were all surprised that a milkshake contained 47 grams of sugar when we, as 6 and 7 year olds, are only allowed 12 grams of sugar a day!
This week, the local fire crew came to visit as part of our history lessons on the Great Fire of London. They taught us all about fire safety, and even made Mrs Headdock dress up to show us the fire-fighting safety clothes!
We have had two very special visitors in class this week! After half term, when we arrived back in school, we were not allowed into the classroom at first as Fang and Lola - two aliens - have crashed landed in there as they want to learn how to make jam tarts with us!
What a mess they have made! We will be writing them some very detailed instructions for them to take back to their planet, Zog! Every day they are fixing their ship in the classroom and they leave us little letters to ask us questions. Keep checking back to this page to see how we get on with writing instructions and making the jam tarts!
In RE, we were very creative and learnt all about the story of Moses being sent down the river to save him from Pharoah. We made moving Moses basket pictures to help us retell the story.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
